§ 1. Duties of Police Commissioner

The Police Commissioner shall protect persons and property; maintain and preserve public order; prevent, detect and repress crime; and, within the sphere of his authority, enforce obedience to the laws, and to rules and regulations issued in pursuance of law, throughout the Virgin Islands.
