§ 200d. Purple Heart Day

  • (a) August 7th of each year is designated Purple Heart Day.

  • (b) The Governor shall annually, issue a proclamation designating August 7th as Purple Heart Day. Public officials, schools, private organizations, and all residents of the Virgin Islands are encouraged to commemorate Purple Heart Day and honor those wounded or killed while serving in any branch of the United States Armed Services.
