§ 172. Teachers' Day

The first Friday of the month of May of each year shall be observed as Teachers' Day throughout the Virgin Islands. On that day, preferential attention shall be given in the schools to the holding of the public acts and demonstrations which, as homage to school teachers, may be announced as provided in sections 173–175 of this title.
