Section 36-6-1 - Salary of governor.

§ 36-6-1 Salary of governor. – Until December 31, 1998, the salary of the governor shall be sixty-nine thousand nine hundred dollars ($69,900) per annum. After December 31, 1998, the salary of the governor shall be ninety-five thousand dollars ($95,000) per annum and shall thereafter be adjusted at the beginning of each succeeding term by the total percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index for all Urban Consumers (CPI-U) published by the United States Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics for the Northeast Region for the four (4) previous fiscal years, but in any event not to exceed twelve percent (12%).
