§ 40.1-5.3-2 Transfers to and from general wards. – Whenever any person committed, transferred, or removed to the facility provided for in § 40.1-5.3-1 shall have recovered his or her mental health sufficiently to be cared for in the general wards of the institute of mental health, the director may, upon request of the superintendent of the state hospital, transfer the person to the general wards of the state hospital, and retransfer him or her to the facility provided for in § 40.1-5.3-1 upon a like request.
