AN ACT

 

Amending Title 12 (Commerce and Trade) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in Pennsylvania Military Community Enhancement Commission, further providing for establishment and membership.

 

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania hereby enacts as follows:

 

Section 1.  Section 402(e)(1) of Title 12 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:

§ 402.  Establishment and membership.

(e)  Membership terms.--

(1)  Members shall be appointed by the Governor under subsection (b)(6) for a term of [two] three years and serve until their respective successors are appointed. Members shall be appointed under subsection (b)(2), (3), (4) and (5) for a term of two years and serve until their respective successors are appointed. The Lieutenant Governor shall serve for a term of four years. A member may be reappointed for additional terms. Members appointed by the Governor shall serve at the pleasure of the Governor.

Section 2.  The amendment of 12 Pa.C.S. § 402(e)(1) shall apply to members appointed or reappointed on or after the effective date of this section.

Section 3.  This act shall take effect immediately.
