AN ACT

 

Amending Title 37 (Historical and Museums) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in historic properties, further providing for powers over certain historic property and providing for Washington Crossing Historic Park.

 

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania hereby enacts as follows:

 

Section 1.  Section 702(62) of Title 37 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:

§ 702.  Powers over certain historic property.

In addition to all other powers vested in the commission by this title or other statute, the commission shall exercise all powers conferred on it by law with respect to the historic properties known as:

[(62)  Washington Crossing.]

Section 2.  Title 37 is amended by adding a section to read:

§ 704.1.  Washington Crossing Historic Park.

(a)  Transfers.--All of the powers, duties, functions, funds, assets, books, records and any other documents and real and personal property of the commission dedicated or associated with the operation and management of Washington Crossing are transferred to the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.

(b)  Operations.--The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources shall operate Washington Crossing Historic Park. The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources shall manage the visitor center and adjoining buildings of Washington Crossing Historic Park.

Section 3.  The amendment or addition of 37 Pa.C.S. §§ 702(62) and 704.1(b) shall be retroactive to June 28, 2019.

Section 4.  This act shall take effect immediately.
