[§ 3701.26.4] § 3701.264. Cancer incidence surveillance system advisory board.
 

There is hereby created the Ohio cancer incidence surveillance system advisory board. The board shall consist of the director of health, who shall serve as chair of the board, and one representative, appointed by the governor, from each medical school accredited by the liaison committee on medical education and each osteopathic medical school accredited by the American osteopathic association in Ohio. In addition, the director of health shall appoint up to three additional members of the board. Vacancies on the board shall be filled in the same manner as the initial appointments. Members shall serve without compensation. 
 

The board shall provide oversight of the collection and analysis of data by the cancer surveillance system to the director of health and the Arthur G. James cancer hospital and Richard J. Solove research institute of the Ohio state university and advise in the implementation of sections 3701.261 [3701.26.1] to 3701.263 [3701.26.3] of the Revised Code. The board shall meet and conduct its business as directed by the chair. 
 

The board shall report to the finance committees of both houses of the general assembly, not later than March 1, 2001, on the progress made in implementing sections 3701.261 [3701.26.1] to 3701.263 [3701.26.3] of the Revised Code. 
 

The board is not subject to sections 101.82 to 101.87 of the Revised Code.

The provisions of § 12 of HB 548 (148 v  - ) read as follows: 

SECTION 12. Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 of this act shall take effect on January 1, 2001.
