[§ 2152.81.1] § 2152.811. Determination removing presumptive exemption from registration.
If a court adjudicates a child a delinquent child for committing a presumptive registration-exempt sexually oriented offense, the court may determine pursuant to
section 2950.021 [2950.02.1] of the Revised Code, prior to making an order of disposition for the child, that the child potentially should be subjected to classification as a juvenile offender registrant under
sections 2152.82,
2152.83,
2152.84, or
2152.85 of the Revised Code and to registration under
section 2950.04 of the Revised Code and all other duties and responsibilities generally imposed under
Chapter 2950. of the Revised Code upon persons who are adjudicated delinquent children for committing a sexually oriented offense other than a presumptive registration-exempt sexually oriented offense. If the court so determines, divisions (B)(1) and (3) of
section 2950.021 [2950.02.1] of the Revised Code apply, and the court shall proceed as described in those divisions.
