[§ 2152.19.1] § 2152.191. Children subject to sex offender registration and notification law.
 

If a child is adjudicated a delinquent child for committing a sexually oriented offense that is not a registration-exempt sexually oriented offense or for committing a child-victim oriented offense, if the child is fourteen years of age or older at the time of committing the offense, and if the child committed the offense on or after January 1, 2002, both of the following apply: 

(A) Sections 2152.82 to 2152.85 and Chapter 2950. of the Revised Code apply to the child and the adjudication. 

(B) In addition to any order of disposition it makes of the child under this chapter, the court may make any determination, adjudication, or order authorized under sections 2152.82 to 2152.85 and Chapter 2950. of the Revised Code and shall make any determination, adjudication, or order required under those sections and that chapter.

The provisions of § 3 of SB 3 (149 v  - ) read as follows: 

SECTION 3. Sections 1 and 2 of this act shall take effect on January 1, 2002, or the earliest date permitted by law, whichever is later. 

 

Effect of Amendments

S.B. 5, Acts 2003, effective July 31, 2003, in the introductory paragraph, inserted "that is not a registration-exempt sexually oriented offense or for committing a child-victim oriented offense," and substituted "January 1, 2002, both" for "the effective date of this section, all."
