3-60-10. Definition; clearance and redevelopment.

As used in the Community Development Law [ 3-60-1 to 3-60-37 NMSA 1978] "clearance and redevelopment" includes:   

A.     acquisition of real property and improvements in a slum area or a blighted area;   

B.     demolition and removal of buildings and improvements;   

C.     acquisition, installation, construction, reconstruction, maintenance and operation of streets, utilities, parks, playgrounds, public buildings including but not limited to parking facilities, transportation centers, public safety buildings and other public facilities and improvements necessary for carrying out in the area the community development provisions of the Community Development Law in accordance with the community development plan; or   

D.     making the land available for development or redevelopment by private enterprise or public agencies, including sale, initial leasing or retention by the municipality itself, at its fair value for uses in accordance with the community development plan.
