NRS 417.110 Executive Director may act as guardian of estates of certain persons; fees.

NRS 417.110 Executive Director may act as guardian of estates of certain persons; fees.

1. The Executive Director may act as guardian of the estate of:

(a) The minor child of a deceased veteran.

(b) An insane or incompetent veteran.

(c) A person who is certified by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs as having money due from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, the payment of which is dependent upon the appointment of a guardian for the person.

2. If a person for whom the Executive Director acts as guardian receives a monthly income of $500 or more, the Executive Director may charge a fee of 5 percent of the monthly income of the person to pay for the expenses of providing the guardianship service.
