CHAPTER 418 - REEMPLOYMENT OF VETERANS

NRS 418.030 Assistanceof district attorney in enforcement of federal act concerning reemployment ofveterans. A person who claims to be entitledto the benefits of the provisions of 38 U.S.C. 2021 to 2026, inclusive, mayapply for the assistance of the district attorney for the county in which theclaimants employer maintains a place of business. The district attorney, ifreasonably satisfied that the person applying is entitled to the benefits,shall appear and act as attorney for that person in the amicable adjustment ofthe claim, or in the:

1. Filing of any motion, petition or other appropriatepleading; and

2. Prosecution thereof to require specific complianceby the employer with the provisions of 38 U.S.C. 2021 to 2026, inclusive.

NRS 418.045 Programsfor training in actual employment: Conditions for approval; regulations.

1. The Labor Commissioner may approve programs whichprovide opportunities for training in actual employment for veterans. Theprograms must:

(a) Extend for at least 6 months and not more than 2years;

(b) Involve only occupations which do not offerprograms of apprenticeship;

(c) Have a standardized form of training; and

(d) Comply with all state and federal laws regardingequal opportunities for employment.

2. The Labor Commissioner may adopt such regulationsas may be necessary to administer and oversee these programs.
