NRS 336.010 ExecutiveOfficer defined. As used in this chapterExecutive Officer means the Chief of the Division of the Department ofAdministration designated by the Director of that Department to operate theState Motor Pool.

NRS 336.020 Establishment. There is hereby established as an agency of the governmentof the State of Nevada a State Motor Pool.

NRS 336.030 Purposes. The purposes of the State Motor Pool are:

1. To insure economical utilization of state-ownedvehicles.

2. To eliminate the unauthorized use of state-ownedvehicles.

3. To provide a ready means of transportation forstate employees and officers on state business.

4. To reduce the need for state employees to useprivate cars on official state business.

5. To provide a central administrative facility forthe maintenance, care and operation of selected state-owned vehicles.

NRS 336.040 Operationby division of Department of Administration. TheState Motor Pool must be operated by a division of the Department of Administrationto be designated by the Director of that Department.

NRS 336.050 Employeesand facilities. The Executive Officer isauthorized to use the existing employees and facilities of his agency and toemploy such additional employees or procure such additional facilities as maybe necessary to carry out the provisions of this chapter.

NRS 336.060 Assignmentof state-owned vehicles to State Motor Pool. TheGovernor may assign any state-owned vehicle to the State Motor Pool and maywithdraw any vehicle from any state agency and reassign such vehicle to theState Motor Pool.

NRS 336.070 Location;branches. The State Motor Pool shall belocated in Carson City and may have branches at such other locations as may bedesignated by the Governor.

NRS 336.080 Dutiesof Executive Officer; agreements for storage of vehicles not assigned to MotorPool.

1. The Executive Officer shall:

(a) Be responsible for proper maintenance and storageof all vehicles assigned to the Motor Pool.

(b) Maintain records to show the location and operatingand maintenance costs of vehicles assigned to the Motor Pool.

2. All agreements for regular storage of vehicles notassigned to the Motor Pool shall be in writing and subject to the approval ofthe Executive Officer.

NRS 336.090 Departmentof Transportation may provide gasoline, service or repairs to vehicles in StateMotor Pool or vehicles assigned to other state agencies. To facilitate the economical operation of state-ownedvehicles, the Department of Transportation may provide to the State Motor Pool,or to any other state agency to which a state-owned vehicle is assigned,gasoline, service or minor repairs on a direct cost-plus-service-charge basis.

NRS 336.100 Regulations;approval by Governor. The Executive Officershall adopt regulations necessary for the administration of this chapter. Suchregulations shall be subject to the approval of the Governor.

NRS 336.110 MotorPool Fund: Creation; uses; receipts.

1. The Motor Pool Fund is hereby created as aninternal service fund. No money in the Fund may revert to the State GeneralFund at any time. Money from the Motor Pool Fund must be paid out on claims asother claims against the State are paid. The claims must be made in accordancewith budget and quarterly work allotments and subject to postaudit examinationand approval.

2. All operating, maintenance and repair costs forvehicles assigned to the State Motor Pool must be paid from the Motor Pool Fundand the accounting for depreciation must be accomplished in that Fund.

3. All agencies using vehicles of the State Motor Poolshall pay a fee for the use and a proportionate share of operational costs inan amount determined by the Executive Officer. The formula for spreading costsof operation may be adjusted from time to time as may be necessary to replaceworn vehicles, pay vehicle costs and defray the costs of Motor Pool operation.

4. All fees, including amounts on account ofdepreciation accrued, costs and other money received by the State Motor Pool,including all proceeds from the sale of vehicles, must be deposited with theState Treasurer for credit to the Fund.
