NRS 237A.010 Stateand political subdivisions may apply for authority to establish, operate andmaintain foreign trade zones.

FOREIGN TRADE ZONES

NRS 237A.010 Stateand political subdivisions may apply for authority to establish, operate andmaintain foreign trade zones. The State ofNevada, any county, city, town or other political subdivision in this State mayapply for authority to establish, operate and maintain foreign trade zones inthis State, pursuant to the provisions of an Act of Congress entitled A billto provide for the establishment, operation and maintenance of foreign tradezones in ports of entry in the United States, and to expedite and encourageforeign commerce, 19 U.S.C. 81a to 81u, inclusive.

NRS 237A.020 Organizationof corporation to establish, operate and maintain foreign trade zone. Corporations whose purpose is to establish, operate andmaintain foreign trade zones under the provisions of the laws of the UnitedStates may be organized under and shall comply with the appropriate provisionsof title 7 of NRS.

NRS 237A.030 Applicationby corporation to establish, operate and maintain foreign trade zone. Each foreign trade zone corporation organized under andsubject to the appropriate provisions of title 7 of NRS, as provided in NRS 237A.020, may apply for and receivefrom the proper United States authorities a grant of the privilege ofestablishing, operating and maintaining a foreign trade zone, wholly or partlywithin the State.

NRS 237A.040 Operationof foreign trade zone by corporation. Eachforeign trade zone corporation may establish, operate and maintain a foreigntrade zone, upon receipt of and in accordance with the grant provided in NRS 237A.030, subject to the laws of theUnited States and with all the powers and subject to all the restrictionscontained in the appropriate provisions of title 7 of NRS.

NRS 237A.050 Liberalconstruction. NRS 237A.010 to 237A.040, inclusive, shall be liberallyconstrued in order to facilitate trade and commerce in the State of Nevada.

TRADE DISTRICTS

NRS 237A.060 Applicationby political subdivision for trade district. Thegoverning body of any political subdivision of this State or the governingbodies of two or more political subdivisions of this State, acting together,may apply to the Governor for the certification of a trade district pursuant toany federal law providing for the establishment and administration of a tradedistrict in Nevada.

NRS 237A.070 Approvaland certification.

1. The Governor shall approve an application madepursuant to NRS 237A.060 and certify atrade district if:

(a) All of the requirements imposed by federal law forthe establishment and administration of such a district are met;

(b) The application and certification comply with theapplicable provisions of the law of this State; and

(c) The welfare of this State is advanced by thecertification of such a district.

2. If a trade district is certified pursuant tosubsection 1, the Governor shall designate a proper authority to administer thedistrict.
