NRS
1. Except as otherwise provided in this section and
(a) The Legislative Counsel;
(b) Two members of the faculty of the William S. BoydSchool of Law of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas; and
(c) Not more than four attorneys licensed to practicelaw in the State of Nevada appointed by the Legislative Commission.
2. The Legislative Commission shall appoint:
(a) Attorneys who are members of the Legislature tofill the appointive positions created pursuant to paragraph (c) of subsection 1if attorneys are available in the Legislature to fill those positions.
(b) Two members of the faculty of the William S. BoydSchool of Law of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, from a list submitted tothe Legislative Commission by the Dean of the Law School. Each member soappointed serves for a term of 4 years.
3. The Legislative Counsel may appoint not more thantwo additional Commissioners from the attorneys employed by the LegislativeCounsel Bureau, upon approval of the Legislative Commission.
4. The National Conference of Commissioners on UniformState Laws is hereby declared to be a joint governmental agency of this State.
5. It is a function of the Commissioners to carryforward the participation of the State of Nevada in the National Conference ofCommissioners on Uniform State Laws. Annual dues must be paid to thatorganization out of the Legislative Fund.
6. The Legislative Counsel shall notify the NationalConference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws whenever a Commissioner isappointed pursuant to this section.

1. A Commissioner who served pursuant to subsection 1of NRS 219.020, except for aCommissioner who served pursuant to paragraph (b) of that subsection, maycontinue to serve or resume his service as a Commissioner if he:
(a) Is licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada;
(b) Is a resident of Nevada; and
(c) Notifies the Legislative Counsel of his intentionto serve as a Commissioner.
2. The Legislative Counsel shall notify the NationalConference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws whenever a Commissioner isadded pursuant to this section.

1. Examine the subjects upon which uniformity oflegislation in the various states is desirable, but which are outside thejurisdiction of the Congress of the United States.
2. Confer upon these matters with Commissionersappointed by the other states for the same purpose.
3. Consider and draft uniform laws to be submitted forapproval and adoption by the several states.
4. Generally devise and recommend such other andfurther course of action as shall accomplish the purpose of this chapter.

1. The Commissioners shall:
(a) Keep a record of all their transactions.
(b) At each legislative session, make a report of theirtransactions to the Legislature.
(c) At each legislative session, make recommendationsto the legislature.
2. The Commissioners may, at any time other than thatspecified in subsection 1, make reports and recommendations to the Legislature.
