500.1319 Jurisdiction of actions arising out of violations; consent to process.

Sec. 1319.

The courts of this state have jurisdiction over every person not resident, domiciled, or authorized to do business in this state who files or fails to file a statement with the commissioner as required by this chapter and over all actions involving the person arising out of violations of sections 1311 to 1318. Each such person shall be considered to have performed acts equivalent to and constituting an appointment by him or her of the commissioner to be his or her true and lawful attorney upon whom may be served all lawful process in any action, suit, or proceeding arising out of violations of this section. Copies of all lawful process shall be served on the commissioner and transmitted by registered or certified mail by the commissioner to the person at his or her last known address.
