Section 89 Penalties

Section 89. Any person, firm or corporation, or employee thereof, and any representative, member or officer of such firm or corporation individually, entering upon or engaging in the business and work as defined in section eighty-one, without having complied with this chapter, shall for the first offense be punished by a fine of not less than ten nor more than one hundred dollars, and for a subsequent offense by a fine of not less than fifty nor more than five hundred dollars or by imprisonment in the house of correction for six months or both.

Whoever prevents, or attempts to prevent, an inspector from entering any premises in the discharge of the inspector's duty shall be punished by a fine of not less than $250 and not more than $3,000, or by imprisonment for not more than 3 months, or both such fine and imprisonment.

Any person who permits an unlicensed person to engage in pipefitting, as defined in section 81, shall be punished by a fine of not less than $1,000 and not more than $3,000, or by imprisonment for not more than 3 months, or both such fine and imprisonment.
