§ 7-201. Evaluation to discover learning disabilities; programs for disabled students

Universal Citation: MD Educ Code § 7-201 (2018)
  • (a) Evaluation to identify learning disabilities. -- The State Board shall develop and implement a program to be administered by the county boards in which each student who enters his first year in any primary grade in a public school is evaluated to identify any learning disability regardless of cause.

  • (b) Educational programs for disabled students. -- The State Board shall provide guidance and coordinate the development and implementation of educational programs based on the needs of disabled students in the public schools.
