Each insurer authorized to write property or casualty insurance on a direct basis in this Commonwealth shall be required to become and remain a member of the plan and the reinsurance association, and comply with the requirements thereof as a condition of its authority to transact property or casualty insurance business in Kentucky. Effective: July 15, 1988 History: Amended 1988 Ky. Acts ch. 225, sec. 2, effective July 15, 1988. -- Amended 1986 Ky. Acts ch. 314, sec. 2, effective July 15, 1986. -- Amended 1980 Ky. Acts ch. 359, sec. 2, effective July 15, 1980. -- Created 1972 Ky. Acts ch. 65, sec. 2, effective June 16, 1972. Legislative Research Commission Note. Although this section is included in Acts 1980, ch. 359, § 2, the proposed change was deleted by committee amendment.
