There may be a state park at a site to be selected by the commissioner of parks in Fayette County, Kentucky, which park shall be known as Thoroughbred State Park. It shall be developed for recreational and educational purposes, in commemoration of the influence of the Thoroughbred horse industry on the history and traditions of the Commonwealth. It shall include restaurant facilities for visitors and a museum of the Thoroughbred industry. History: Created 1970 Ky. Acts ch. 179, sec. 1. Legislative Research Commission Note. Acts 1970, ch. 179, §§ 2, 3 provide for a site selection committee which shall report its recommendations to the commissioner of parks by July 1, 1971, and for the acquisition of property necessary to construct and equip the facility.
