423.070 Commissioners of foreign deeds -- Appointment, term. The Governor may appoint and commission one (1) or more commissioners of deeds in each state of the United States for a term of two (2) years. Before entering on the duties of his office, each commissioner shall make and subscribe an affidavit, before an officer authorized to administer an oath, to well and truly execute and perform all the duties of his office. The affidavit must be filed in the office of the Secretary of State of this state. Effective: October 1, 1942 History: Recodified 1942 Ky. Acts ch. 208, sec. 1, effective October 1, 1942, from Ky.
