243.140 Business authorized by blender's license. A blender's license may be issued to a person who performs the functions of a rectifier only to a limited extent, but only to a person who produces or processes traditional Kentucky whiskeys exclusively. It shall authorize the licensee to produce not exceeding five thousand (5,000) barrels annually, and perform the following functions only: (1) Blend and bottle straight whiskeys produced in Kentucky that have been aged in new charred oak barrels in Kentucky warehouses for not less than four (4) and not more than twenty (20) years, to which nothing shall be added except imported Spanish blending sherry, genuine rock candy syrup and distilled water, and which contains no artificial coloring; (2) Bottle straight whiskeys produced in Kentucky that have been aged in new charred oak barrels in Kentucky warehouses for not less than four (4) nor more than twenty (20) years; or (3) Bottle white Kentucky whiskey of any age that has been filtered through charcoal in a manner permitted by the United States government.
