209A.010 Purpose of chapter. The purpose of this chapter is to identify victims of domestic violence, abuse, or neglect inflicted by a spouse, and to provide for the protection of adults who choose to access those services. A victim of domestic violence who has a mental or physical disability or who cannot carry out the activities of daily living or protect himself or herself without the assistance of others may be served under the provisions of KRS Chapter 209.
