342.240 Office -- Equipment -- Seal -- Sessions -- Venue of certain proceedings.
The department shall maintain its main office in Frankfort, Kentucky, using suitable <br>rooms and offices belonging to this state, and shall be provided necessary office furniture <br>to be paid for by the state. The commissioner shall provide necessary supplies, books, <br>periodicals, and maps and shall provide a seal for the authentication of orders, awards, or <br>proceedings of the administrative law judges, on which shall be inserted the words <br>"Department of Workers' Claims, State of Kentucky, official seal." The board and the <br>administrative law judges may hold sessions at any place within the state where necessary <br>and shall have power to sue or institute legal proceedings in any court of this state, under <br>existing laws as to jurisdiction of actions. Unless consented to by the commissioner, all <br>actions or proceedings against the board or a member in his or her official capacity, or <br>against an administrative law judge or the commissioner in his or her official capacity, <br>shall be brought in the courts of Franklin County.
