(1) It is the declared policy of the General Assembly of Kentucky that the practice of nursing should be regulated and controlled as provided herein and by regulations of <br>the board in order to protect and safeguard the health and safety of the citizens of <br>the Commonwealth of Kentucky. (2) All individuals licensed or privileged under provisions of this chapter shall be responsible and accountable for making decisions that are based upon the <br>individuals' educational preparation and experience in nursing and shall practice <br>nursing with reasonable skill and safety.
