CHAPTER 281 MOTOR CARRIERS
281.685 Adherence to rates, fares, charges, and schedules -- Prohibition against discrimination.
Download pdfcompensation for the transportation of persons or property or for any service in
connection therewith, than the rates, fares, and charges specified in its tariffs and
classifications filed with the department and in effect at the time; and a common
carrier or irregular route common carrier shall not refund or remit any part of the
rates, fares, or charges so specified, or make or give any unreasonable preference or
advantage to any person, or subject any person to any unreasonable discrimination. (2) A contract carrier shall not charge, demand, collect, or receive a greater, less, or different compensation for the transportation of persons or for any service in
connection therewith than that contained in the contract required to be filed with the
department and in effect at the time; and a contract carrier shall not refund or remit
any part of the charges specified in the contract, or make or give any unreasonable
preference or advantage to any person, or subject any person to any unreasonable
discrimination. Effective: July 15, 1998
