227.470 Cooperative agreements between local governments.
(1) Any action authorized by the provisions of KRS 227.450 to 227.500 to be
accomplished by a city or county may be undertaken cooperatively by two (2) or <br>more local governments upon a resolution by the governing body of each local <br>government to do so. Such cooperative agreements shall conform to the provisions <br>of KRS Chapter 65.
(2) If the governing body of two (2) or more counties authorizes a cooperative
agreement, the individual cities within those counties do not have to execute the <br>cooperative agreement and are deemed to be a party to the cooperative agreement <br>for all purposes unless, within sixty (60) days after the adoption of the legislation <br>authorizing the cooperative agreement by the county fiscal court in which that city <br>is located, a resolution is passed by a city expressing its intent not to enter into a <br>cooperative agreement.
