227.205 Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction created --
Organization.
The Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction (hereinafter referred to as the <br>department of housing) is hereby created within the Public Protection Cabinet. The <br>department shall be headed by a commissioner appointed by the Governor in accordance <br>with KRS 12.040, and who shall report to the secretary of the Public Protection Cabinet. <br>The office of the commissioner shall also include a deputy commissioner and an <br>executive assistant to the commissioner, who shall be the policy making assistants to the <br>commissioner and shall be appointed pursuant to KRS 12.050. The department shall <br>consist of the Division of Fire Prevention, the Division of Building Codes Enforcement, <br>the Division of Plumbing, and the Division of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning <br>(HVAC).
