(1) Any person other than a dealer, as defined in KRS 186.010(10), who sells or transfers a motor vehicle in this state shall deliver to the county clerk the certificate <br>of title with the assignment form on the reverse side properly executed and shall <br>transfer the vehicle to the new owner within ten (10) days of the date of the sale or <br>transfer of ownership. (2) Any person who violates subsection (1) of this section shall be subject to the penalties set out in KRS 186.990(2). Effective: March 6, 2006 <br>History: Amended 2006 Ky.
