70.330 Vacancy in constable's office in district containing city of sixth class -- Marshal may act as. In any magisterial district in which there is no qualified constable, and in which there is <br>situated a city of the sixth class, the marshal of the city may perform all the duties <br>pertaining to the office of constable coextensive with the magisterial district so long as <br>the office of constable is vacant, but no longer.
