CHAPTER 70 SHERIFFS, CONSTABLES, AND COUNTY POLICE FORCE
70.160 Sheriff to visit and inspect dance halls and roadhouses.
Download pdfplace in his county where music is furnished or permitted, or where public dancing is
conducted or permitted, and also all camps, restaurants, roadhouses, or any place where
intoxicating liquors are sold or furnished or permitted to be sold or furnished to the
public, or where men and women are furnished rooms for lodging either in the day or the
night. The sheriff shall report in writing to the county attorney his conclusions, together
with the name and address of any witness who claims knowledge of any violation of law
at such places or of any disturbance occurring at such places. He shall also file with the
Circuit Court clerk of his county a duplicate of each report, which shall be delivered to
the grand jury next to be convened in the county. Effective: October 1, 1942
