CHAPTER 41 DEPARTMENT OF THE TREASURY
41.330 Delivery of office to successor -- Examination of accounts on expiration of term or in case of vacancy.
Download pdfAuditor of Public Accounts shall examine and state the accounts of the Treasurer, count
the money in the Treasury, and take an inventory of the books, supplies, and equipment of
the office. The money, books, supplies, and equipment shall be delivered to the newly-
elected Treasurer or the person who fills the vacancy, and he shall give a receipt for them
which shall be filed with the Secretary of State. The former Treasurer or his personal
representative or surety may attend the Auditor while engaged in making the examination.
The Auditor shall return the statement of accounts, with his report, to the Secretary of
State. The report shall be prima facie evidence for and against all concerned and
interested. Effective: October 1, 1942
