337.512 Duties of individual officers with respect to prevailing wage law. (1) No public official, authorized to contract for or construct public works shall fail, before advertising for bids or undertaking such construction, to ascertain from the executive director the prevailing rates of wages as provided in KRS 337.505 to 337.550. (2) No member of a public authority authorized to contract for or construct public works shall vote for the award of any contract for the construction of such public works, or vote for the disbursement of any funds on account of the construction of such public works, unless such public authority has first ascertained from the executive director the prevailing rates of wages of laborers, workmen, and mechanics for the classes of work called for by such public works in the locality where the work is to be performed and the determination of prevailing wages has been made a part of the proposal specifications and contract for such public works. History: Amended 1974 Ky. Acts ch. 341, sec. 4. -- Created 1970 Ky. Acts ch. 33, sec. 4. Legislative Research Commission Note (6/20/2005). 2005 Ky. Acts chs. 11, 85, 95, 97, 98, 99, 123, and 181 instruct the Reviser of Statutes to correct statutory references to agencies and officers whose names have been changed in 2005 legislation confirming the reorganization of the executive branch. Such a correction has been made in this section.
