304.32-320 Notification of office. Any private employer doing business in this state who provides for his employees on a self-insured basis hospital or surgical benefits shall notify the Office of Insurance of the existence of the program within sixty (60) days of June 17, 1978. Any employer doing business in this state who implements for his employees on a self-insured basis a plan for providing hospital or surgical benefits shall notify the Office of Insurance not less than thirty (30) days prior to implementing such plan, and shall include in the notice the name of any outside third-party administrator. Any change in third-party administrators shall be reported to the Office of Insurance within thirty (30) days of the change. The Office of Insurance shall make this information available upon request. Effective: July 15, 2002 History: Amended 2002 Ky. Acts ch. 181, sec. 22, effective July 15, 2002. -- Created 1978 Ky. Acts ch. 158, sec. 4, effective June 17, 1978. Legislative Research Commission Note (6/20/2005). 2005 Ky. Acts chs. 11, 85, 95, 97, 98, 99, 123, and 181 instruct the Reviser of Statutes to correct statutory references to agencies and officers whose names have been changed in 2005 legislation confirming the reorganization of the executive branch. Such a correction has been made in this section.
