293.020 Definitions in KRS Chapter 293. The following definitions shall apply throughout this chapter unless the context clearly requires otherwise: (1)  "Agency" means any department or other agency of the Commonwealth, including corporate agencies but excepting counties and municipal corporations and districts limited geographically to local functions; (2)  "Authority" means the Kentucky Savings Bond Authority established by this chapter; (3)  "Bank" means any state chartered bank or trust company, or any national banking association, located in the Commonwealth; (4)  "Bonds" means bonds other than savings bonds which have been issued or which will be issued by the Commonwealth or one of its agencies, limited, however, to general obligation or full faith and honor bonds issued by or on behalf of the Commonwealth, and to revenue bonds issued by the Commonwealth or any agency thereof, at rates of interest sufficient to justify investment by the authority; (5)  "Financial institution" means a bank or an investment banker; (6)  "Investment counsellor" means a trust company, a professional investment advisor, or an investment banker; (7)  "Notes" means any obligations, other than savings bonds, which have been issued or which will be issued by the Commonwealth or one of its agencies in anticipation of the issuance of bonds; (8)  "Operating fund" means the fund from which the costs of administering and operating the authority are paid; (9)  "Payment and redemption fund" means the fund into which all receipts from the issuance of savings bonds are paid, and from which payments are made at the maturity or redemption of savings bonds; (10) "Savings bonds" means bonds of the authority issued under the terms of this chapter.
