257.080 Animal diseases to be reported. (1) Every veterinarian, owner or person having knowledge of the existence of any communicable disease of livestock within the state shall immediately report the disease to the county livestock inspector of the county in which the disease exists, or to the state veterinarian. (2) This report shall be in writing and shall include a description of the animal, the name and exact post office address of the owner, the location of the animal, the number of susceptible animals exposed to the disease and the number of animals that have died of the disease.
