241.015 Office of Alcoholic Beverage Control created -- What to consist of -- Appointment, qualifications, powers, term, and compensation of executive director. There is created an Office of Alcoholic Beverage Control, which shall constitute a statutory administrative office of the state government within the meaning of KRS Chapter 12. The office consists of the executive director of alcoholic beverage control and the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board. The executive director shall head the office, shall be its executive officer, and shall have charge of the administration of the office and perform all functions of the office not specifically assigned to the board. The secretary of the Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet, with the approval of the Governor, shall appoint as executive director a person with administrative experience in the field of alcoholic beverage control. The executive director shall be appointed for a term of four (4) years. History: Amended 1966 Ky. Acts ch. 255, sec. 210. -- Created 1944 Ky. Acts ch. 154, sec. 4. Legislative Research Commission Note (6/20/2005). 2005 Ky. Acts chs. 11, 85, 95, 97, 98, 99, 123, and 181 instruct the Reviser of Statutes to correct statutory references to agencies and officers whose names have been changed in 2005 legislation confirming the reorganization of the executive branch. Such a correction has been made in this section.
