227.205 Office of Housing, Buildings and Construction created -- Organization. The Office of Housing, Buildings and Construction (hereinafter referred to as the office of housing) is hereby created within the Cabinet for Environmental and Public Protection, Department of Public Protection. The office shall be headed by an executive director appointed by the secretary of the Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet with the approval of the Governor in accordance with KRS 12.050, and who shall report to the secretary of the Cabinet for Environmental and Public Protection. The office of the executive director shall also include a deputy director and an executive assistant to the executive director, who shall be the policy making assistants to the executive director and shall be appointed pursuant to KRS 12.050. The office shall consist of the Division of Fire Prevention, the Division of Building Codes Enforcement, the Division of Administrative Services, the Division of Plumbing, and the Division of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC). Acts chs. 11, 85, 95, 97, 98, 99, 123, and 181 instruct the Reviser of Statutes to correct statutory references to agencies and officers whose names have been changed in 2005 legislation confirming the reorganization of the executive branch. Such a correction has been made in this section.
