Chapter 11 - ENGINEERS AND LAND SURVEYORS.
Section 34-11-10 - Public work.
It shall be unlawful for the state or any of its departments, boards, or agencies or any county, municipality, or political subdivision, or any department, board, or agency of any county, municipality, or political subdivision to engage in the construction of any public work involving the practice of engineering unless the engineering drawings, plans, specifications, and estimates have been prepared by and the construction executed under the direct supervision of a professional engineer; provided, that nothing in this chapter shall be held to apply to any public work wherein the expenditure for the complete project of which the work is a part does not exceed $20,000.(Acts 1961, Ex.
