TEXAS COURT OF APPEALS, THIRD DISTRICT, AT AUSTIN NO. 03-17-00835-CR NO. 03-17-00856-CR Julio Jimenez-Ramirez , Appellant v. The State of Texas, Appellee FROM THE DISTRICT COURT OF COMAL COUNTY, 207TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT NOS. CR2016-660 & CR2016-661, HONORABLE R. BRUCE BOYER, JUDGE PRESIDING MEMORANDUM OPINION Appellant Julio Jimenez-Ramirez seeks to appeal from the trial court’s judgments of conviction for Sexual Assault of a Child, Indecency with a Child by Contact, Continuous Trafficking of Persons, and Sale or Purchase of a Child. See Tex. Penal Code §§ 20A.03(a), 21.11(a)(1), 22.011(a)(2), 25.08(a). The State has filed motions to dismiss, averring that appellant entered into signed plea agreements with the State in which he waived his right to appeal from the judgments and sentences. We agree. The trial court has certified that these are plea bargain cases and appellant has no right of appeal. See Tex. R. App. P. 25.2(a)(2). We therefore grant the State’s motions and dismiss the appeals. See id. R. 25.2(d) (stating that if trial court does not certify that defendant has right to appeal, “appeal must be dismissed”). __________________________________________ David Puryear, Justice Before Justices Puryear, Pemberton, and Bourland Dismissed for Want of Jurisdiction Filed: January 12, 2018 Do Not Publish 2
