TEXAS COURT OF APPEALS, THIRD DISTRICT, AT AUSTIN NO. 03-16-00509-CV Michael Trejo, Appellant v. Eugenia Morales, Appellee FROM THE DISTRICT COURT OF TRAVIS COUNTY, 353RD JUDICIAL DISTRICT NO. D-1-FM-16-003566, HONORABLE SUZANNE COVINGTON, JUDGE PRESIDING MEMORANDUM OPINION PER CURIAM Previously, on appellant’s unopposed motion, we abated this appeal to allow a related suit affecting the parent-child relationship (SAPCR) to proceed to final judgment, the outcome of which might render this appeal moot. Appellant has now filed a status report informing the Court that the suit is proceeding but that a final judgment has not yet been signed. Consequently, appellant has filed an unopposed motion to extend the abatement period. We grant appellant’s motion and will abate this appeal until March 21, 2017. We direct the parties to file either a status report or a motion to dismiss the appeal by that date. All appellate deadlines will be tolled during the period of abatement. Before Chief Justice Rose, Justices Field and Bourland Abated Filed: January 27, 2017 2
