CRAIG ALEIOUS CAMPBELL,

Appellant

v.

THE STATE OF TEXAS,

Appellee

From the County Criminal Court No. 9

Dallas County, Texas

Trial Court # MB03-53048-K

MEMORANDUM OPINION

We abated this appeal for a hearing under Rule of Appellate Procedure 38.8(b)(3) after Appellant s counsel failed to file an appellant s brief. In the hearing, counsel informed the trial court that he has been unable to contact Appellant for some time and believes that Appellant has left the state. The trial court found that Appellant has abandoned this appeal. Based on this finding, we dismiss the appeal for want of prosecution. See Stavinoha v. State, 82 S.W.3d 690, 691 (Tex. App. Waco 2002, no pet.).
