(Corky) Roberts, Presiding March 2, 2017 MEMORANDUM OPINION Before QUINN, C.J., and CAMPBELL and PIRTLE, JJ. Appellant Weslena Halsted filed a notice of appeal on October 19, 2016, appealing a judgment in favor of appellee Phillip Halsted. The clerk’s record was filed on December 12, 2016, and the reporter’s record was filed on December 19. Appellant’s brief was due on January 18, 2017, but was not filed. On that date, the Court sent appellant notice that her brief was overdue and that the appeal was subject to dismissal for want of prosecution if a response was not made by January 30, 2017. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8(a)(1), 42.3(b). Appellant did not file a brief or a response by this deadline. On February 6, 2017, the Court sent appellant a second notice, by regular mail and by e-mail, that her brief was overdue and that her appeal was subject to dismissal if a brief was not filed by February 16. Appellant has not filed a brief or otherwise communicated with the Court. Accordingly, the appeal is dismissed for want of prosecution. TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8(a)(1); 42.3(b). James T.
