In The Court of Appeals Ninth District of Texas at Beaumont _________________ NO. 09-15-00481-CV _________________ IN RE A&E TELEVISION NETWORKS, LLC, CHRISTIE CHREENE AND JULIE SNEAD ________________________________________________________________________ Original Proceeding 75th District Court of Liberty County, Texas Trial Cause No. CV-1206096 ________________________________________________________________________ MEMORANDUM OPINION A&E Television Networks, LLC, Christie Chreene, and Julie Snead filed a petition for writ of mandamus seeking to compel the trial court (1) not to permit any further discovery, and (2) to enter a written order memorializing its oral rulings on their objections to the summary judgment evidence. The real parties in interest, Crystal Ward and Hogs Dogs & Lace, LLC, filed a response in which they contend that the trial court implicitly overruled Relators’ objections when the trial court signed the summary judgment order. After reviewing the petition, the 1 response, and the records submitted by the parties, we conclude that Relators have not shown an abuse of discretion for which an appeal would be an inadequate remedy. See generally In re Prudential Ins. Co. of Am., 148 S.W.3d 124, 135-36 (Tex. 2004); Walker v. Packer, 827 S.W.2d 833, 842 (Tex. 1992). Accordingly, we deny the petition for mandamus relief. PETITION DENIED. PER CURIAM Submitted on December 10, 2015 Opinion Delivered January 14, 2016 Before McKeithen, C.J., Horton and Johnson, JJ. 2
