DISMISSED FOR WANT OF JURISDICTION

This is a direct appeal of a no-answer default judgment taken in a suit to establish paternity against Cesar Alejandro Hinojosa by Adela Flores, the mother of Y.R.G. Hinojosa raises two issues on appeal, contending that the trial court abused its discretion in failing to grant Hinojosa s motion for new trial, and that the evidence at the default judgment hearing was insufficient to support the award of retroactive child support and monthly child support payments.

The record reflects, however, that the trial court partially granted Hinojosa s motion for new trial on February 1, 2005 on the issue of retroactive child support. The trial court did not order a severance, and has not entered a final judgment in this case. This court, after reviewing the record, is of the opinion that this appeal should be dismissed for want of jurisdiction. See N.E. Indep. Sch. Dist. v. Aldridge, 400 S.W.2d 893, 895 (Tex. 1966) (Texas appellate courts have jurisdiction only over final judgments). Accordingly, we dismiss this appeal for want of jurisdiction.
