In the Matter of Z.B.--Appeal from 289th Judicial District Court of Bexar County
Annotate this CaseIN THE MATTER OF Z.B.
From the 289th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas
Trial Court No. 97-JUV-02382
Honorable Frank Montalvo, Judge Presiding
Opinion by: Tom Rickhoff, Justice
Sitting: Tom Rickhoff, Justice
Catherine Stone, Justice
Paul W. Green, Justice
Delivered and Filed: November 24, 1999
AFFIRMED
Z.B. was adjudicated delinquent for committing assault and was placed on juvenile probation until her eighteenth birthday. The State subsequently filed a motion to modify this disposition, alleging that Z.B. had violated several conditions of her probation. After finding two of the State's allegations true, the court ordered Z.B. committed to the Texas Youth Commission.
Z.B.'s attorney has filed a brief containing a professional evaluation of the record and demonstrating that there are no arguable grounds to be advanced. Counsel concludes that the appeals are frivolous and without merit. The brief meets the requirements of Anders v. California, 386 U.S. 738, 744-45 (1967). Counsel has provided Z.B. and her mother with a copy of the brief and advised Z.B. of her right to review the record and file a pro se brief. Z.B. has not done so.
After reviewing the record, we agree that the appeals are frivolous and without merit. The judgment of the trial court is affirmed, and counsel's motion to withdraw is granted.
Tom Rickhoff, Justice
