Petition for Writ of Mandamus Dismissed and Memorandum Opinion filed July 25, 2023. In The Fourteenth Court of Appeals NO. 14-23-00419-CV IN RE OSCAR O. FUENTES-DIAZ, Relator ORIGINAL PROCEEDING WRIT OF MANDAMUS 151st District Court Harris County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 2023-01321 MEMORANDUM OPINION On June 15, 2023, relator Oscar O. Fuentes-Diaz filed a petition for writ of mandamus in this court. See Tex. Gov’t Code Ann. § 22.221; see also Tex. R. App. P. 52. In the petition, relator asks this court to compel the Honorable Mike Engelhart, presiding judge of the 151st District Court of Harris County, to vacate the trial court’s May 30, 2023 order denying relator’s motion to quash and motion for protection. On July 12, 2023, relator filed an unopposed motion to dismiss his petition for writ of mandamus, advising that relator’s petition is moot because on June 23, 2023, the trial court vacated its May 30th order. Accordingly, we grant relator’s unopposed motion and dismiss the petition for writ of mandamus for want of jurisdiction. PER CURIAM Panel consists of Justices Wise, Bourliot, and Spain. 2
