Petition for Writ of Mandamus Denied and Memorandum Opinion filed October 20, 2022. In The Fourteenth Court of Appeals NO. 14-22-00623-CV IN RE S.G.T., Relator ORIGINAL PROCEEDING WRIT OF MANDAMUS County Court at Law No. 2 Galveston County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 17FD2510 MEMORANDUM OPINION On August 29, 2022, relator S.G.T. filed a petition for writ of mandamus in this Court. See Tex. Gov’t Code Ann. § 22.221; see also Tex. R. App. P. 52. In the petition, relator asks this Court to compel the Honorable Kerri Foley, presiding judge of the County Court at Law No. 2 of Galveston County, to enter an order granting relator’s notice of non-suit. In his sole issue, relator contends the trial court abused its discretion by refusing to sign an order granting a non-suit and that he is entitled to relief as there is no adequate appellate remedy at law. On October 5, 2022, real party in interest C.C. filed with this court filestamped copies of several orders filed in the trial court since this mandamus proceeding began, one of which was an order that granted relator’s notice of nonsuit. As the trial court has granted relator the relief that he ultimately sought in this mandamus proceeding, we deny relator’s petition for writ of mandamus as moot. PER CURIAM Panel consists of Justices Jewell, Bourliot, and Hassan. 2
