Petition for Writ of Mandamus Denied and Memorandum Opinion filed January 20, 2022. In The Fourteenth Court of Appeals NO. 14-21-00656-CV IN RE U.L., Relator ORIGINAL PROCEEDING WRIT OF MANDAMUS 507th District Court Harris County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 2016-53465 MEMORANDUM OPINION On November 10, 2021, relator U.L., filed a petition and, thereafter, an amended petition for writ of mandamus in this Court. See Tex. Gov’t Code Ann. § 22.221; see also Tex. R. App. P. 52. In the amended petition, relator asks this Court to compel the presiding judge 1 of the 507th District Court of Harris County, to “reverse its October 28, 2021 ruling denying Relator’s Emergency Motion to Stay the Proceedings of the enforcement.” Relator has not established that she is entitled to mandamus relief. Accordingly, we deny relator’s amended petition for writ of mandamus. PER CURIAM Panel consists of Chief Justice Christopher and Justices Zimmerer and Wilson. It is not clear from the mandamus record whether the associate judge (Honorable Jim Evans) or the district judge (Honorable Julia A. Maldonado) conducted the hearing on October 28, 2021, and denied relator’s emergency motion to stay. 1 2
